06.03.2012Solar park Elsterheide connected successfully
With a total output of 20MW, the solar park Elsterheide installed in December 2011 is the world's largest project for SolarMax. The state-of-the-art open-space PV facility covers an area of 460,000 square metres. Distributed to 18 Power Stations, there are 54 SolarMax central inverters of the 330TS-SV series – each with a rated output power of 330kW.
The facility data at one glance:
| Output / area: | 20,004.4 kWp / 460,000 sq m |
| Modules: | 86,960 polycrystalline modules from Sunowe |
| Inverters: | 18 string inverter stations, each with 3 SolarMax 330TS-SV inverters |
| Inclination / orientation: | 25° south |
| Expected annual yield: | 19,464,000 kWh |
| Plant owner: | Sunflower (Luxembourg) Light Energy & Science Ltd. |
The installation work was carried out by Gräss Solartechnik GmbH & Co. KG. The MaxComm monitoring platform has been used to permanently monitor the entire facility down to the individual string, ensuring the facility functions efficiently. This way the smooth running of the solar park can be overseen, even over decades.
