28.09.2011Complete SolarMax TS series certified according to BDEW directive
The smaller devices of the series – 50TS, 80TS, and 100TS – already received the unit certificate according to the directive “Generator systems on the medium-voltage network” of the BDEW (German Association of Energy and Water Industries) in April 2011. The SolarMax 330TS-SV without transformer that was designed for direct connection to a medium-voltage transformer has also complied with the directive since July of this year. Now, the SolarMax 300TS has also been tested and received the corresponding certificate. The tests were implemented under the responsibility of the certification institute Bureau Veritas.
With the BDEW unit certificate the grid-coupled inverters demonstrate among other things that they no longer shut down in the event of a short-term failure of the public mains network, but support the network in a dynamic manner.
The SolarMax 300TS is characterised by an output rating of 300kW and is used for larger-scale solar facilities. It can either be operated with one or with three MPP trackers (maximum power point). During operation with one tracker, the yield during partial load is optimised by additionally activated power units. Three trackers make the design easier and increase the output of photovoltaic systems on differently oriented or shadowed areas. This way, the 300TS provides for the highest flexibility and achieves maximum energy yields.
